squeeky toys= dog affraid!!!

our dog is affraid of toys that squeek, she gets affraid, drops the toy and sits looking at it crying.....has any one ever seen this before?

Pepsi is 7 and she has always been affraid of toys that make a noise, she has lots of toys that are quiet with no problem but if it makes a squeek she is affraid of it.

Gosh no squeaky toys have a life span of about 2 seconds in our house, Its hilarious for the short time watching them though, Shame pepsi is afraid though it just must be something that she really doesn't like or maybe thinks its an ill puppy

maybe if you get her favorite treat and have the toy in one hand... feed her a treat as you squeek the toy... keep going until she isnt fazed by it...

Drake goes crazy for squeeky toys. esp the cuz!

Herbie loves his squeaky toys too his favourite is a ball. :dogrun:

Sounds a good idea give her a treat while squeaking the toy hope all goes well :gluck:

Just bought a squeaky little dog it looks like a wild rabbit, Tiks battered the daylights out of it but its still surviving, Doesn't squeak half as good now though

we compromised and got her a ball that rattles for christmas....we are lucky she is gentle with her toys so we got her a dog toy from ikea.

Fonzie used to be kinda weary of squeek toys, when it would squeek he would drop it and look at it then pick it up and try again, but now he loves it and keeps squeeking them for ages!! them soon he breaks the squeeker LOL

Squeaky toys don't last too long here either, thanks to Achilles. Rhea is really gentle with them and Qenna is too small to cause any real damage to them yet. Qenna gets really mad when we squeak her toys and starts growling loudly and attacks them, lol

. I can't tell if she likes them or hates them.

Herbie still has a squeaky toy ball that he had when we first got him just over 2 and half years ago :yay:

but we have to put it up when my daughter comes over with her JRT because he's not happy until he's destroyed all squeaky toys - It seems to be his mission in life lol
