What dog toys are wrong?

Postby Darkbutterfly101j on Tue Sep 25, 2007 6:56 pm

I'm wondering.. What toys are really wrong for dogs?

Benji is obsessed with basketball. He'll watch anybody for hours if they are playing. My other dogs in the past just eventually got bored with it and went off to do their own thing. I'm thinking of finding some basketballs for dogs and see how he likes it. Would that be a good idea? he'll probably just sniff it and push it around.

PS: what dog stuff have you tried and found really wrong for them?
I've got a feeling in my heart, and a question on my mind.

I think dogs would really like any toys, they will always play with them just maybe not as much as others, toys that are too big for them to grab though they arent much interested in, dogs love to be able to pick things up and tear them apart hehe :dogrun:

lol sometimes Benji thinks that everything I give him is food. Let's say I'm trying to play fetch with him. I'll throw the stick and he'll run to it and then try to eat it.

:dogrun: then i stand there and wait

Hahahaha yeah, my dog always sits down with sticks and stuff to eat them, the only way he plays with them at the moment is "get them back my owner stole them!!" :P

yeah my pup eats them, but she'll bring em back on occassion too.

My moms dog loves things bigger than she can fit in her mouth, she'll push a basketball around, claw at it, and bite at it till she pops it and can get a hold of it lol.

I have heard of a few dogs that have chocked on balls...

Say you give a small puppy tennis ball to a Mal... he could chock on it.... so just be carefull when selecting the size of your toys

We have a Great Dane who comes to the daycare that loveas to play basketball. My son will bounce and pretend to shoot it at the wall, and this big dog jumps around like Michael Jordan. He always pops them eventually, but he still plays with them when they are popped.
Whoever said money can't buy happiness never got a puppy.
