Postby m1k30rz on Tue Sep 25, 2007 4:29 am

Wow I bought a pack of these beef strips for dogs to chew on, they also have tartar control and things like that to keep him healthy, and he LOVES them! as soon as you give him one he runs away to chew it and if you try take it off him he runs away again

I don't use any of these products most of them are full of additives,if you want to keep your dogs teeth clean get some raw bones

If I were you I would make your own pigs ears, the ones in Pet shops have loads of additives in them and some especially if made in China have small amounts of arsenic in them.

If you want to make your own pigs ears, ask your butcher to order you some in I get 12 ears for £1,put them on a baking tray and put them in the oven on the lowest heat your cooker has, leave them there until they are dried out,it ususally takes about 2 hours

I agree with travis. Although the store-bought pig ears are healthy, you don't know what they put in it. They always put chemicals or other products so that the pig ear will last longer on the shelf, because obviously no one will buy all of them straight away. It would be best if you made them yourselves so you know what you are giving your dog. :)

It will be a bit of a big outlay to buy the gluten free flour and gluten free oats for the biscuit type treats but the flour and oats will last you a few months
