My old dog Spankie used to bury her food all the time and then find it and eat it later. Is that a problem? and if it is How do I stop it if this happens again?
I've got a feeling in my heart, and a question on my mind.
Hmm ive never had that happen but ive heard of it being quite common. Maybe keep an eye on feeding time to make sure she doesnt try burying it and if she does try let her know you dont want her to
What food are you feeding,if it's raw meaty bones they can be buried for a couple of days and then eaten with no harm coming to your dog,if it's a processed food a few hours should be okay but no longer
That's very interesting. This must be because your dog must not have a bone to bury or something. She must be substituting food for it. What makes this strange though, is that how does she bury food? Does she carry it in her mouth?
