rawhide bones good or bad

i want to feed my dog rawhide bones but some people told me this is a bad idea.... what is your idea??

I don't like them and don't think they are recommended for puppies

My dogs love them, so I stocked up, but Doug had a nasty choking fit after swallowing one too quick!....so now I'm too scared to give them.

Same with Herbie Sharon he had a bit of a choking fit after having one when he was a pup and I've never liked them since

I won't give them to puppies, but my adults love the compressed bones. And I don't mind giving those as they tend not be able to swallow large chunks as they can with regular hide.

after nearly losing a great dane(adult) to a rawhide chew i avoid them,you cant beat a good raw knuckle bone,they tend to enjoy them the older and smellier the bone gets,lol
